Well, my friends, after much hand-wringing, nit-picking, and a good dose of gentle peer pressure from my dear Alex, I have opened an Etsy shop! The shop is certainly still a work in progress, but due the aforementioned hand-wringing and nit-picking, I’ve decided I have to let the bird leave the nest. So…eep creative is now open on Etsy!

Read MoreAs a young professional, the working world likes to remind you of the importance of networking. While somewhat terrifying when I was younger, the task feels much less daunting as my network grows, and as I realize the importance of it. Nearly all of my freelance work thus far has been the result of a personal connection. A friend or a coworker who believes in me and my work and then connects to me to someone who needs some help.
My most recent project is perhaps not a great example of a “network” result, since it goes back to before I could spell “network.”

My freshman year, I took a book binding course to fulfill an honors fine arts credit, and I totally fell in love with it. In addition to teaching me an interesting new skill and art form, it persuaded me to add on my graphic design minor. (My visual communications major left me missing the "artsy" side of things.)
